- Scrap Heli:Land on helipad, clear top-down. Fastest but loud.
- Hot Air Balloon:Silent approach, jump onto upper levels. One-way trip.
- Swimming:Lowest profile, bring diving gear. Very slow.
Efficiency Tips
- Clear scientists before starting locked crate timer
- Bring a teammate - one loots while other watches crate
- Use rig's recycler to process components
- Set up temporary base on lower level if needed
- Time arrival for low server population
Counter-Raiding Oil Rigs
Common Counter Strategies
- Wait for locked crate: Attack when players are committed to 15-minute timer
- Boat camping: Destroy/steal boats to trap players on rig
- Heli insertion: Drop team on helipad during crate countdown
- Cargo ship timing: Use cargo arrival at large oil as distraction
Defense Against Counters
- Always leave one player watching approaches
- Build tool cupboard near locked crate
- Place doors/walls to block common routes
